Dave Beetham grew up in Ontario, Canada. In his mid 20’s Dave fully surrendered his life to whatever God’s will might be for his life. It wasn’t’ long before God made it clear that Dave was called to full time ministry. In 2001 Dave moved to the United States to join a one-year discipleship/work program at Bair Lake Bible Camp. It was here that he met the love of his life, Jamie. Dave and Jamie were married in 2004 and now have four children; Owen-13, Reegan-11, Jayden-9, and Dawson-6.
Following their time at Bair Lake Bible camp, Dave and Jamie lived in the Metro-Detroit Area in order to help plant Life Covenant Church. Dave attended Michigan Theological Seminary during the early years of that church plant. Upon graduation, Dave joined the U.S. Army Reserve as a chaplain and was immediately deployed to Afghanistan. The Beetham family moved to the Kalamazoo area in 2012 when Dave received the call to pastor a local Covenant Church. Dave continues to serve in the U.S. Army and this past September he returned from a deployment to Kuwait.
Some of Dave’s favorite things include enjoying a good cup of coffee with friends as well as bike rides, long walks, and playing board games with his family. His heart’s desire is to see the gospel of Jesus bring revival and hope to his community. That desire includes seeing every person grow into the fullness of who God has created them to be. Dave and Jamie are both passionate about discipleship and believe that spiritual growth thrives through intentional personal relationships. It is through these relationships that Dave seeks to identify, encourage, and cultivate spiritual growth in others as well as work to equip them to mentor and disciple others.
