Our director of music has lived in the Syracuse area most of his life. A lover of the arts he spent many years working as a professional Sound Engineer and Lighting Designer. In 2005 he was called to pursue the position, Director of Music, at Grace and a year later called to continue his theological education. He graduated from Davis College in 2008 with a BA in Theology and a concentration in Worship Ministry. Currently, he is enrolled at Northeastern Seminary working on his MA in Theology with a concentration in Worship Ministry.

Along with his wife, Pamela, and three young men, the Ladd's enjoy all kinds of sport activity. When the weather is nice you may find them enjoying a round of frisbee golf, rock climbing in the Adirondacks, cliff diving in the Saint Lawrence, or simply grilling and chilling at the beach. Otherwise they may all be working on the next amateur independent film, always searching for inovative ways to communicate the Good News!

When asked why the music ministry is so important to him Scott replied, "I spent many years pursuing my own desires only to realize that they were empty and void of the fulfillment I sought. Jesus met me at the brink of self-destruction and shared with me his plan for life and restoration. When I look back now and see how I was rescued, I cannot help but shout, Great is the Lord! He is worthy of my praise! My life is a testimony to God's redeeming grace and unmerited favor."
