How to Build a Lasting Relationship.
How can we be happily married to one person for the whole of our lives? How do we resolve conflict? How can we discover and rediscover sexual intimacy?
We recognize that married life is at times very difficult, and sometimes even seems impossible. That is why we have decided to offer The Marriage Course. Not because we think we have all the answers, but because we feel that in general, all of us need help along the way. This is our way of saying, "We are not perfect, but together we can walk with each other to strengthen one of the most precious relationships two people can have."
There is no group discussion and no requirement to disclose anything about your relationship to anyone else. We strive to maintain welcoming, relaxed, and unthreatening atmosphere. So come, let's share a meal together, then allow Nicky and Sila Lee to offer practical advice to prepare, build and even mend marriages.
Topics Covered include: recognizing each other's needs, learning to communicate effectively, resolving conflict, forgiveness, knowing how to make each other feel loved, relating to parents and in-laws, sexual intimacy, making time for each other, and simply having fun together.
Cost: The manual is a one time expense of $10. Each week we ask for $10 per couple to cover the home cooked meal and desert.
How to enroll: contact the church office at 699-1551 or sign up in the church narthex.
Questions: call Bruce & Barbara Baehr 457-6157, Jim & Maureen Awad 463-4211.
